About the project
It was necessary to design a park that would become a new city landmark and an active event venue on the shore of Lake Alebashevo in Tyumen. The Wowhaus team optimally distributed functions throughout the territory, created logical and convenient routes, and designed a diverse artificial landscape.

Riverside and park
Lake Alebashevo is surrounded by residential buildings and is actively used both in summer and winter. However, the area around the lake, as well as the nearby green zones, requires landscaping and ecosystem restoration. It was necessary to design a park along the lake that would preserve natural connections while becoming a new city landmark and an active event space.
-
River Ecosystem
The abundance of rivers in the region inspired Wowhaus to create a miniature version of a river ecosystem typical for Tyumen within the landscape park by the lake. The Wowhaus team optimally distributed functions across the territory and designed logical and convenient routes. Water was decided to be made a central element in every visitor scenario. The park’s terrain will be traversed by a man-made stream, designed to support the lake’s ecosystem and create a diverse, study-worthy landscape.
-
Diverse Terrain
The excavated soil will be used to create an active landscape within the park. Hills will transform the flat terrain typical for the Tyumen region. This is especially relevant in winter, when vegetation is almost absent. The hills will also offset the lack of lush greenery in the initial period after the park’s construction, adding interesting viewpoints and perspectives. The artificial landscape will help create an engaging storyline for walks through the park.
-
Entertaining near the Water
In addition to boat rentals, fishing areas, and a beach, the waterfront will feature a pier for newlyweds and a floating stage near the main square. The stage on the water will make it possible to host concerts and other large-scale events while also protecting the shoreline vegetation. The concept emphasizes preserving the lake’s ecosystem, so both the stage and the promenade will be built as wooden boardwalks on stilts.

Lake Flora
The landscaping plan aims to preserve as much of the existing vegetation as possible without removing it. New plantings have been carefully selected to naturally help purify the water.
